Route 66 Era Vehicles Get Priority
It's the Mother Road's 100th birthday, so vehicles from 1920 through 1970 get priority placement in staging, position in the caravan, and spots on the field.
Everyone is still welcome. Modern cars, EVs, imports, trucks, lowriders, motorcycles — if you love cars, you belong here. Route 66 era vehicles simply go first this year.

🎉 Help Us Keep FoW Going for Another 25 Years For the first time in our 25-year history we're asking for a small $10 registration fee per vehicle — less than half the cost of most car shows. Your support goes directly to keeping this Balloon Fiesta Park tradition alive.
🛣️ 1920–1970 Vehicles Get Priority
For the Route 66 centennial, vehicles built between 1920 and 1970 receive priority in staging, caravan order, and field placement. All vehicles are welcome — Route 66 era cars simply go first this year.
📣 Caravan Alerts On event day, caravan alerts go out in this app and/or by text: when the field opens and when we roll. Keep this app open on your phone at staging. The Staging tab shows live caravan status.
Adding your mobile number on Club Express helps in case we send texts, but it's not required. The app has everything you need.

📋 Important Rules
Vehicle Pre-Approval RequiredAll vehicles must be photo-approved before the event. Unapproved vehicles will not be permitted to join the caravan.
No In-and-Out PrivilegesOnce your vehicle enters Balloon Fiesta Park, there are no in-and-out privileges for the day.
Subject to SearchAll vehicles entering via the FoW caravan are subject to search by officers and canine units. The caravan enters through the Crew entry on the North end (Roy Rd). Roads may be unpaved with inclines and declines.
Do Not Park in Rail Runner Lots
Vehicles parked in the Rail Runner East or West lots are subject to towing and ticketing.
Admission Included
General admission to Balloon Fiesta Park is included for all occupants inside your registered vehicle. Large clubs attending together should contact us in advance.

🛣️ Route 66 Era Priority — 1920 to 1970 In honor of Route 66's 100th anniversary, vehicles from 1920–1970 get priority placement in staging, caravan order, and on the field. Every vehicle is still welcome; era cars are simply seated first.

🎈 About the Event
The Fiesta of Wheels has been a Balloon Fiesta Park tradition since 2000, produced every year by the Rainbow Roadrunners Car Club — Albuquerque's LGBTQ+-inclusive Lambda Car Club chapter. With 300+ vehicles on the field, it's one of the largest car shows in New Mexico and the Southwest. The first Sunday of Balloon Fiesta Park is our day.
Restrooms: Portable restrooms at the staging location.
Registration fee: $10 per vehicle, paid online through Club Express at registration. No cash accepted at staging.
Caravan alerts: Sent by text on event day — add your mobile number when you register. Live status is also on the Staging tab.
Admission: Balloon Fiesta Park general admission included for all occupants of your registered vehicle. No in-and-out privileges once inside.

🛣️ Route 66 Era Staging Priority Vehicles from 1920–1970 are staged and lined up first for the caravan. Arrive early — era vehicles are placed in arrival order within the priority group.
Rail Runner Lots are Off-LimitsDo not park in the Rail Runner East or West lots — vehicles will be towed or ticketed.
